About JB Craftsman

Each of our products started as a frustration. Whether it's a cluttered game box or a struggling event setup, I've always been driven by one question: How can I make this better? I don't believe in "one size fits all" solutions that only get the job done halfway. I believe in maximizing the potential of every object we use daily.

My journey into intentional design began with a simple problem at work. We hosted frequent vegetarian receptions and were relying on messy chalkboard signs. I needed a way to clearly communicate if a dish was also vegan, gluten-free, or both. All while setting up in the final, frantic minutes before an event.

The options I found online were either overpriced or didn't fit our specific needs. So, I decided to build something that worked for us. I designed our Vegetarian Table Signs to be adaptable, compact for travel, and instantly readable. That project ignited a passion for not settling with something that was 'good enough', but creating something better.

While the heavy lifting and finishing touches happen in my workshop, the "soul" of the design happens at my dining room table. While listening to a good playlist and petting my adorable dog, I spend hours sketching and iterating on ideas.

I utilize 3D printing as my primary tool for one specific reason: It allows me to tailor a design to fit an exact need with a high level of intentionality. From that first layer to the final hand-finished product, the goal is always the same: To craft something that makes day-to-day life run a little smoother.
